Four Days Guilin and Yangshuo Culture Tour

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrival, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill.  
• 
  Reach Guilin. Be picked up from exit of airport or train station.
  Drive to visit Reed Flute Cave. It is a brilliant karst cave with various stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars and stone curtains with different shapes. The colored lights make the rocks more spectacular.
  Then visit Elephant Trunk Hill. It looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river. Combining beautiful nature views and valuable cultural landscape, the hill is regarded as the symbol of Guilin.
• Be transferred to the hotel for check in.

• Day 2. Li River Cruise to Yangshuo, Former Residence of Xu Beihong, Yangshuo Garden.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 07:30am - 08:10am and transferred to cruise port.
  Take Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo (about 4.5 hours, lunch on board).
  Li River is the highlight of Guilin landscape. Cruise along the river, You are like touring in a landscape painting, the green mountain reflecting on the clear water, buffalo grazing on the bank, farmers working in rice fields and fishermen standing on bamboo rafts.
• Arrive in Yangshuo in the afternoon. Disembark and visit Former Residence of Xu Beihong, a modern Chinese master of fine art. The house is a building of three courtyards with wood and brick. Some masterpieces painted by Xu Beihong when he lived in Yangshuo are displayed here.
  Proceed to Yangshuo Garden to discover the daily life of local people. Yangshuo Garden is a park with nature mountains and rivers. Visitors can take a bird view of Yangshuo from the summit of the mountains.
  
  Overnight in Yangshuo.

• Day 3. Rafting along Yulong River, Diecai Hill, Seven Star Park.  
• 
  Be met from hotel at 08:30am.
  Rafting along Yulong River for about 40 to 60 minutes. Yulong River is a major tributary of Li River flowing through over 20 villages with beautiful Karst scenery. Sitting on a bamboo raft steered by experienced boatman, you can appreciate the limestone peaks, green fields, ancient villages and stone bridges.
• Afterwards, drive back to Guilin to visit Diecai Hill. The hill is known for its amazing scenery and stone carvings. The highest peak of the hill is the ideal place to have a panoramic view of the Li River and Guilin city.
  Proceed to the biggest comprehensive park in Guilin, Seven Star Park. The park is the epitome of Guilin's landscape. It is the perfect fusion of mountains, water, caves, stones, courtyards, buildings, and cultural relics.
  Be transferred back to hotel in Guilin after the tour.

• Day 4. Jingjiang Palace, Departure.  
• 
  Be met from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit Jingjiang Palace, the residence of princes in the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). All buildings in the palace are decorated with red walls and yellow tiles. In the in Qing Dynasty(1644-1912), the palace was used to be the Guangxi Examination House. Duxiu Peak in the palace is one of the three main peaks of Guilin.
