• Turpan one day private tour of Ancient City of Gaochang, Ancient Astana Tombs, Flaming Mountains and Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves

  Drive to Ancient City of Gaochang. Located at the foot of the Flaming Mountain, Ancient City of Gaochang was built in the first Century B.C. It was used to be a garrison town and later became a key point along the ancient Silk Road. The best preserved relics are the temple ruins in the southwest corner of the outer city.
  Then visit Ancient Astana Tombs. Known as "Underground Museum" in Turpan, Ancient Astana Tombs was the buried place of residents of Gaochang Ancient City, including nobles, officers and common people. Over 400 tombs have been excavated and three chambers are open to the public.
• After lunch, head to Flaming Mountains, one of the branch ranges of the Tianshan Mountains. The Flaming Mountains extend from east to west for about 100 kilometers. The red rocks on the mountain reflect sunlight and absorb the sun's heat as if there were fire on the hill, hence the name.
  Move on to Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves. With a history of more than 1,500 years, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves is the largest Buddhist caves in Xinjinag area. It had been the Buddhist center of Gaochang. Now 57 caves still exist and mural paintings can be found in over 40 caves.
  Deliver you back to the hotel after the sightseeing.
