Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrival, Temple of Potaraka Doctrine, Temple of Universal Peace.  
• 
  Be picked up from train station by private guide.
• Proceed to the largest temple of the Eight Outer Temples in Chengde, Temple of Potaraka Doctrine. Modeled after the Potala palace in Tibet, the temple also is known as “Little Potala Palace”. It has been listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site together with other seven temples.
  Move on to Temple of Universal Peace. Built in 1755, Temple of Universal Peace is a synthesis of Tibetan and Han architectural styles. The most precious in the temple is the wooden sculpture of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara with a thousand different eyes arms.
  Be transferred to check in the hotel after the tour.

• Day 2. Mountain Resort, departure.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to Mountain Resort. Chengde Mountain Resort is the place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911) escaped the heat and dealt with government affairs in summer. The imperial palaces and gardens perfectly combine the north and south architectural art.
• After lunch, be transferred to train station to see off.
