Detail Itinerary
Day 1. Beijing Airport pickup, Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall
Take taxi to Shanghai airport and connect morning flight from Shanghai to Beijing.
Arrive in Beijing in the early morning.
Your Beijing tour guide will hold a sign read your name to meet you at the airport.
Drive 2 hours to the famous Badaling Great Wall. Badaling is the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained, easy for travelers to walk along the defensive project of ancient China. Take sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall for about 2 hours.
Then to Ming Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Visit Changling for one hour.
(We will visit a large scale jadeware processing factory on the way. There are workshop for demonstration of Jade carving, five interpreting rooms for us to know the processes of Chinese jade carving and Chinese jade culture. You may also take photo in the huge Jade exhibition hall and buy some jade carving souvenir as you like.)
Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (Lunch)

Day 2. Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace
English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:30 am. Drive 30 minutes to the Forbidden City -also called Palace Museum. It is located at the center of Beijing. Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex. Visit Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Drive 20 minutes to visit Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Take sightseeing in the temple for one hour.
After lunch in a nice restaurant near Temple of Heaven, drive 40 minutes to Summer Palace - 20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc. Take sightseeing in this beautiful garden for one hour and twenty minutes.
Visit a Chinese fresh water pearl shop near Summer Palace to do some shopping. It a nice place to buy a necklace or bracelet as a gift from China.
We will transfer you to Beijing capital airport to connect the flight to Shanghai.
Take taxi back to your hotel in Shanghai.
