Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Entry Beijing  
• 
  Reach Beijing airport or train station. Be met and transferred to your hotel in downtown Beijing.
  Remainder of the day is at leisure.

• Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Olympic Park  
• 
  Your private tour guide will wait you in the lobby of hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to Tiananmen Square to visit the biggest downtown square in the world. Originally named Chengtianmen. Tiananmen Square witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1st, 1949. Travelers may find Mausoleum of Chairman Mao and several other national level buildings in the square.
  Forbidden City connects the north end of Tiananmen Square. We will enter the imperial palace from Wumen - the south gate. Take sightseeing along the central axis to discover most famous buildings. Based on the introduction of tour guide, you can imagine how the ancient emperor work and live in this huge palace.
  
• Chinese style lunch is arranged in a nice local restaurant not far from attraction.
  Drive 20 km to visit Summer Palace.
  Being a previous imperial garden, Summer Palace is a good please to discover Chinese garden art, natural scenery and Chinese traditional culture.
  If time permit, we will stop at the Olympic Park. Bird Nest and Water Cube are available to visited from outside. You will be transferred back to hotel after the whole day trip.

  • Forbidden City is not open on Monday.
  • We will book entry tickets of Forbidden City in advance. Please send your scanned copy of passport upon booking.

• Day 3. Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall  
• 
  After buffet breakfat in hotel, you will be met from hotel lobby at 08:30am.
  Drive around one and half hours to visit Ming Tomb.
  Being the lastest resting place of Ming Emperors, Ming Tombs are surrounded by Tianshou Mountains on three sides. Today we will visit biggest one - Changling Tomb.
  The visiting time is around one hour.
  
• Enjoy your lunch on the way.
  Drive 40 minutes to visit Badaling Great Wall. Built in 1505, Badaling is the best preserved section of Great Wall - ancient Chinese defensive system. The sightseeing time on Great Wall is around 1.5 to 2 hours.
  Drive back to downtown Beijing.
• Note
  • We will book tickets of Badaling Great Wall in advance. Please send your scanned copy of passport upon booking.

• Day 4. Beijing    to Lhasa  
• 
  Be met from your hotel at appointed time and transferred to airport for departure. Fly to Lhasa.
• After reaching Lhasa, you will be met and transferred to hotel.
  It time permit, we will stop to visit Nietang Buddha on the way.
• Note
  • Strenuous exercise is not suggested, because Lhasa has a higher altitude.

• Day 5. Lhasa: Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka Park  
• 
  Lhasa local tour guide of Beijingservice team will wait you in hotel lobby at 09:00am.
  Drive to visit Potala Palace. Being the Landmark of Lhasa, Potala Palace is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks.
  
• After lunch we will drive to visit the Sera Monastery - one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419, the collection of murals is maintained in perfect and original condition.
  Move on to visit Norbulingka Park. Built in the 1740s, Norbulingka Park is the previous Summer Palace of Dalai Lama.
  Drive back to hotel after the day trip.

  • Tickets of Potala Palace needs to be reserved in advance. We will take care of it.

• Day 6. Lhasa: Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street  
• 
  After buffet breakfast in hotel, you may find Lhasa local guide wait you in hotel lobby at 09:00am.
  First, we will drive to visit Drepung Monastery. Being the the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism, Drepung Monastery houses plenty of cultural relics.
  
• After lunch in local restaurant, we will move on to visit Jokhang Temple. This temple is the the holiest site in Tibet and is regarded as the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists.

• Day 7. Lhasa    to Xian  
• 
  You will be met from hotel lobby at appointed time, then transferred to airport.
  Connect flight to Xian.
• After reaching Xian, you will be met and transferred to hotel.

• Day 8. Xian: Terracotta Warriors, Stone Steles Forest, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Show  
• 
  After buffet breakfast, you may find Xian local tour guide in hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive around one hour to visit Terracotta Warriors - the eighth wonder of the world.
  More than 6000 pottery figures depict the culture, history and strength of the Qin Dynasty(221 BC-206 BC). Ancient Chinese warfare weapons, Armour and chariot are also available to be discovered.
• Have lunch on the way back to Xian city.
  Drive back to Xian city to visit Stele Forest Museum. You may find the oldest and richest collection of steles of ancient China in traditional courtyard.
  Move on to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda - one of the landmark of Xian. Built in 652 of Tang Dynasty, this pagoda was functioned to collect Buddhist materials taken from India by Xuanzang (a famous monk in China).
• The dinner prepared today is Chinese Dumpling, typical Chinese food for Chinese New Year. It is a kind food even art to combine flour meat and vegetable.
  After dinner, we will enjoy Tang Dynasty Show. This is a kind of performance covers music and dances, which was popular in the Tang dynasty of China more than one thousand years ago.
  You will be transferred back to hotel after the whole day trip.

• Day 9. Xian: Provincial Museum, City Wall. Xian to  Guilin  
• 
  Have buffet breakfast in your hotel. Then you will be met by private guide in hotel lobby at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum. Being the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, this museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.
  Move on to visit Xian Ancient City Wall. Being the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China, Xian Ancient City Wall is located in downtown of the city and work as a landmark to divide the city into inner part and outer part.
  
  
• You will be transferred to airport.
  Take flight to Guilin.
  You will be met and transferred to hotel after reaching Guilin airport.

• Day 10. Guilin: Li River Cruise to Yangshuo, back to Guilin  
• 
  Guilin local tour guide will meet you from hotel lobby at appointed time. Drive to cruise port out of Guilin city to start your cruising experience along Li River. Picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffaloes, cows scaterred on both sides of the riverbank.
• The cruising time is around 4.5 hours before reaching Yangshuo - the legendary town southeast of Guilin.
  We will take a sightseeing in Yangshuo town before driving back to Guilin City.

• Day 11. Guilin: Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park.    to Shanghai  
• 
  Start the day from your hotel lobby at appointed time.
  Drive to take sightseeing in Reed Flute Cave, which is known as "the Palace of Natural Arts" contains beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
  Move on to visit Elephant Trunk Hill - the symbol of Guilin. The shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
  
• If time permit, we will drive to visit Seven Star Park before being transferred to airport for departure. Seven Star Park is the biggest comprehensive park in Guilin.

  After reaching Shanghai airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel in downtown Shanghai.

• Day 12. Shanghai: Jade Buddha Temple, Nanjing Road, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, Huangpu River Cruise  
• 
  After buffet breakfast, Shanghai tour guide will meet you from hotel lobby at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit Jade Buddha Temple, which is famous for 1.9 meters tall buddha carved out of a single piece of white jade. Ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures can also be found.
  Move to visit Nanjing Road, one of the most famous and bustling business streets in China.
  
• After lunch, move on to visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower -the world's third tallest TV and radio tower. Being the world's third tallest TV and radio tower, the Tower is made up of 11 balls, the lowest of which is 118 meters high and the tallest being 295 meters.
  Then we will drive to visit the Bund. This is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of old Shanghai. You may find more than 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
• A cruising on Huangpu River is arranged.
  It seems you are cruising in a river of history; On west side of the bank is the building with hundred of years' history, on the other side you can find the grand Steel and glass structures in Pudong new district.
  You will be transferred back to hotel after the whole day trip.

• Day 13. Departure from Shanghai.  
• 
  You will be met form hotel at appointed time and transferred to airport for departure. Service end.
