Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrive in Beijing.   
• 
  Upon arrival at Beijing airport or train station, your guide will greet you at the exit.
  Drive you to check in the hotel.
  Free for the remainder of the day.

• Day 2. Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Olympic Park.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive to Tiananmen Square, the largest downtown square in the world. The square is surrounded by many well-known cultural and political buildings.
  From the north end of Tiananmen Square, we will enter Forbidden City. Being the world's largest palace complex, Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1912).Many cultural and historical relics are displayed in the palace.
• After lunch in a local restaurant, proceed to Summer Palace. As best-preserved and largest royal garden existing in China, Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural scenery and artificial landscape.
  Continue to Olympic Park, the major venue of the 2008 Olympic Games. The stadiums in the park contains the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), National Swimming Center (Water Cube) and the National Indoor Stadium (Folding Fans). Take an outside view of the stadium.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Beijing: Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive 1.5 hours to Ming Tombs. Ming Tombs is the final resting place of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors, along with 23 empresses and a number of concubines.
  Visit the largest tomb in architectural scale, Changling. The Ling'en Hall of Changling Tomb is the largest structure of nanmu wood in China.
• Move on to the famous Badaling Great Wall in the afternoon. Built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty to defend Beijing City, Badaling is the outstanding representative of the Great Wall of China. It has a length of 7.6 kilometers with 30 watchtowers.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 4. Beijing Hutong, Temple of Heaven, flight to Xian.   Reach Xian and check in hotel.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Take man-power rickshaw to explore Beijing Hutong in Shichahai Area. Beijing Hutongs are passageways formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard). They reflect the culture and daily life of the past in Beijing.
  Then visit the largest sacrificial building complex in the world, Temple of Heaven. It was built in 1420 for emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties to communicate with the gods and pray for good harvest.
• After lunch, transfer you to airport to connect flight for Xian.
  
  Arrive in Xian. Be met by local guide and transferred to check in the hotel.

• Day 5. Xian: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Huaqing Pool, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Show.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Proceed to visit Terracotta Warriors and Horses. With a history of over 2,000 years, Terracotta Warriors and Horses is a large collection of pottery figures，chariots and horses in battle formations. It served as afterlife guards for the mausoleum of the Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China.
• After lunch, visit Huaqing Pool. Huaqing Pool had been a resort palace for the emperors of Zhou(1046 BC-256 BC), Qin, Han, Sui and Tang(619 - 907) Dynasties because of its natural beauty and hot spring resources.
  Go on to Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The present 7-storey Pagoda was built with layers of bricks without any cement in between. It is a masterpiece of Buddhist pagodas.
• Enjoy Tang Dynasty Show after dinner. The show presents the essence of music and dance art of the Tang Dynasty over 1,000 years ago.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the show.

• Day 6. Xian: Shaanxi History Museum, Great Mosque, Ancient City Wall, flight to Guilin,  Reach Guilin and check in hotel.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  First go to Shaanxi History Museum. The museum is the first national-level modern museum in China. It presents the history and culture of Shaanxi province and Chinese ancient civilization.
• Then visit Great Mosque. With a history of over 1,200 year, Great Mosque is one of the oldest and largest mosques in China. It was designed with traditional Chinese architecture style and decorated with Islamic culture.
  Continue to Ancient City Wall. With a history of over 600 years, Xian Ancient City Wall is the largest and most complete city wall in China. It comprises moat, city gate, watchtowers, battlements, ramparts and crenels.
  Then transfer you to airport to connect flight for Guilin.
  
  Arrive in Guilin. Be met by local guide and transferred to check in the hotel.

• Day 7. Li River Cruise to Yangshuo.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at about 07:40 in the morning.
  Drive to Zhujiang Pier to take Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. This section is the essence of the Li River scenery. you will see a flowing scroll of beautiful karst landscape: winding river, towering peaks, leisurely water buffalos, fishermen on the bamboo rafts and picturesque villages.
• Reach Yanghsuo in the afternoon. Disembark and explore this old town with a history of over 1,400 years.
  Transfer you back to the hotel in Guilin with private car.

• Day 8. Guilin: Reed Flute Cave, Seven Star Park, Fobo Hill.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive to Reed Flute Cave. Known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", the cave contains beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
• Visit Seven Star Park after lunch. Seven Star Park is the largest comprehensive park in Guilin. The park features elegant hills, crystal water, fantastic caves and some cultural relics.
  Move on to Fobo Hill. There are lots of rock stone carvings and Buddha statues from Tang Dynasty(618-907) on the hill. From the summit you may have a bird's-eye view of Guilin city.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 9. Flight to Chongqing.  Reach Chongqing, Chongqing Zoo(Panda House), board cruise ship.  
• 
  Pick you up from hotel in the morning and transfer to airport. Take flight to Chongqing.

• Day 10. Yangtze River Cruise:   
• 
  You can practice Tai Chi in the morning and enjoy other culture activities on the ship in the afternoon. You will take a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City, the location of the hell in Chinese legend.
• This day will finish with captain's cocktail party.

• Day 11. Yangtze River Cruise:   
• 
  Cruise through Qutang Gorge in the morning, which is framed by steep mossy cliffs.
  Take a shore excursion to Shennv Stream. With narrow gorges, steep mountains, and mysterious hanging coffins, Shennv Stream still remains its primitive features.
• Cruise through Wu Gorge in the afternoon. The gorge is most noted for its 12 sculpted peaks endowed with various fascinating shapes.
•   Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Day 12. Yangtze River Cruise, flight to Shanghai from Yichang.  Reach Shanghai and check in hotel.  
• 
  Take a shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric dam. Admire the vastness of the Yangtze River and the majesty of the dam.
  Then transfer you to the tourist center in Yichang.
• The private guide and driver will meet you at the tourist center and deliver you to the airport for Shanghai.
  
  Arrive in Shanghai. Be met by local guide and transferred to check in the hotel.

• Day 13. Shanghai: Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Nanjing Road, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, The Bund.  
• 
  Your private guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 in the morning.
  Drive to Yu Garden with a history of over 400 years. It presents the art and skills of the traditional gardens from the pavilions, cloisters, bridges, ponds, rockeries and exquisite carvings.
  Then visit Jade Buddha Temple. The temple is one of the three famous Buddhist temples in Shanghai. It is famous for majestic architectures and precious jade Buddhist statues from Burma.
• Discover the most famous commercial area in Shanghai, Nanjing Road. It is a shopping paradise with many all-in-one shopping malls, restaurants and cafés.
  After lunch, move on to Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is an important landmark of Shanghai city. With a height of 468 meters, the tower has four major sightseeing observatories at different heights.
  Continue to The Bund. Famed as "Exhibition of International Buildings", the bund is the most popular place of Shanghai and full of history and culture.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.
