Beijing One Day Spring Tour to Zhongshan Park, Taoranting Park and Xiushui Market

Itinerary

Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30.

Drive to visit Zhongshan Park. The Zhongshan Park was originally an imperial garden that houses the Altar of Earth and Grain. In the Ming and Qing dynasties,emperors came to the garden to pray to the gods of earth and agriculture. In the park, there is a greenhouse that includes 39 varieties of tulips presented by the Princess of Holland in 1977.

Move on to visit Taoranting Park. Built in Qing Dynasty, Taoranting Park was a popular site for scholars to recite and compose poetry and essays. Taoranting Park contains 36 pavilions, including ten full sized replicas of well-known pavilions in China.

Then visit Xiushui Market. Also called Silk Market or Silk Street Market, it is a shopping center housing 1,700 retail vendors. Except silk and fashion clothes, various kinds of iterms can be bought here.

Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour at around 18:00.
