Introduction

    • National aquatics center is located in Beijing Olympic Park, one of the landmark constructures during the 2008 Olympic Games. It was the major swimming pool constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games. National aquatics center and National Stadium are separately located on both sides of the northern end of Beijing city central axis and they together form a complete Beijing's image of a historical and cultural city.
      National aquatics center covers a construction area of 65,000 to 80,000 square meters including the underground area of no less than 15,000 square meters. During the 2008 Olympic Games, the national aquatics center held the competitions of swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and etc. There are about 17,000 audience seats including 6,000 permanent seats and 11,000 temporary seats which were equipped during Olympics and demolished after the Game. Now the Water Cube has been a swimming center of international advanced level for swimming, sports, fitness and leisure.
