Guo Shoujing Memorial Hall is also called Huitong Temple. It was first built in Yuan dynasty. The first name of it is Zhenshui Guanyin Temple. Guo Shoujing had once lived here and host the water conservancy design of the whole country. The temple was renovated in Qianlong period. In 1986, the temple was renovated again. Now it is quiet and full of culture atmosphere.
Guo Shoujing was born in the year 1231 and died in 1316. He was an outstanding scientist in Yuan Dynasty. He did his scientific research and practice on astronomy, hydraulics, surveying, calendar and mathematics for his whole life. He did great job for Chinese science. Some of his researching results are still used in today's science work, water conservancy project and other projects.
