Introduction of Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty

    • Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty is one of the largest and the most completed imperial concubine's Tombs. It is the National Key Cultural Protection Units. There are five royal tombs including Xiaoling of Shunzhi, Jingling of Kangxi, Yuling of Kangxi, Dingling of Xianfeng and Huiling of Tongzhi. There are also four queen tombs, five concubine tombs, one princess tombs. 14 queens and 136 concubines were buried in the Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty.

There is the widest stone memorial arch in China and the most completed shrine road (more than 6,000 meters). The fine Buddhist sculptures in the under palace of Yuling (Emperor Qianlong's Tomb) is breathtaking. The world heritage experts called the Eastern Royal Tombs masterpieces of human creative genius.

      History

    • Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty was built from 1661 and lasted for 247 years. The earliest building are about 400 years old and the even the latest are nearly 100 years old. The tombs not only reflect the whole process of the change of mausoleum rules, but also recorded the rise and fall of Qing Dynasty. The three gold hall of Cixi have luxury decoration which is rare in the world.
