Exhibitions areas of China Aviation Museum
Covering an area of 530,000 square meters, China Aviation Museum mainly consist of Large Cave Exhibition Hall, Integrated Hall and Outdoor Exhibition Area.
Large Cave Exhibition Hall
The cave exhibition hall covers about 20,000 square meters. There inlayed 265 round lights in the arched top, which makes the starry landscape. The exhibits are displayed on both sides of the large exhibition hall according to the historical development, ranging from ancient flight inventions and discoveries to modern high-altitude and high-speed fighters, from introduced foreign aircrafts to various types of domestically produced aircrafts. On the right side of the exhibition hall, not only the famous aircrafts in Chinese aviation history , such as Feng Ru II, Le Shi Leshiwen I and Lenin, but also a variety of aircrafts manufactured by the Soviet Union, the United States, France, Japan, Canada, the Czech Republic and other countries are displayed. The aircrafts produced by new China are exhibited on the left side. Other weapons and equipments such as radar, missiles and artilleries are exhibited in the rear of the hall.
Integrated Hall
Integrated Hall is located behind the sword sculpture. The hall mainly introduces the development history of Air Force and a number of heroes who contribute to Chinese Aviation. Some famous fighters such as Lenin are displayed here. The hall has two floors.
Outdoor Exhibition Area
The outdoor exhibition area is about 40,000 square meters. Various types of planes used specially produced by different countries in the world are displayed in this area, such as the planes that Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Zhu De once took in the 50s and 60s, the heavy bomber gave by Stalin to Mao Zedong as a birthday present, C-46 large-scale transport aircraft, and so on.

Chairman Mao's plane
A silver-white Earl - 14 aircraft is displayed in the Outdoor Exhibition Area. From 1957 to 1958, Mao Zedong had been took this plane 23 times. The original appearance when Mao Zedong took the plane was restored in the cabin. The color picture of "Mao Zedong working in the plane" is hung on the bulkhead.
Red star shining Hero Fighter
This is the first fighter that had shot down the enemy plane in the Korean War. After several times' shooting down the enemy planes, the commander of the air force decided that each time this fighter shot down the enemy plane, a red star would be painted on the plane body. Solid red star means shot down while red star hollow means injuring.
Xiang Yu Drama Club Plane
Xiang Yu Drama Club Plane has a red head with the Chinese character "Xiang Yu Ju She" on it. It was donated by Xiang Yu Drama Club. Xiang Yu was a famous artist of Yu Opera. From 1951, Xiang Yu and her colleagues started from Xi'an to hold benefit Yu Opera Concert for about half a year. They donated all they earned to buy this fighter to support the front line of the Korean War.
