Beijing One Day Join in Tour of Tiananmen Square Forbidden City and Mutianyu Great Wall

Detailed Itinerary

• Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Mutianyu Great Wall   
• 
  Your guide will pick you up from the hotel at appointed time.
  
  Firstly, visit Tiananmen Square, the largest city plaza in the world. You could see two pairs of 600 years old stone lions, the ornamental columns, outer golden water bridge and have a view of all constructions in Tiananmen Square from distance.
  
  Proceed to discover the Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with about 600 years history in the world. Listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of ancient wooden structures in the world, the complex consists of 980 buildings with 8,707 rooms and covers 72 hectares. We will visit Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for around 2 hours.
  
  On the way to restaurant, we will visit a Jade Carving Factory. The Jade Factory is more like a showcase, exhibiting history and making process of jade, as well as all kinds of beautiful jade ware.
• After lunch, head to Mutianyu Great Wall. Known for its beautiful surroundings and densely distributed watchtowers, Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the most famous and best preserved sections of China Great Wall. Sightseeing on Great Wall is around 1.5 to 2 hours. Cable car is a good choice (optional) if you want to reach the highest point without too much stepping.
  
  Drive back to Beijing city. On the way to your hotels, we will pay a short visit to a Chinese traditional medicine hall get to some knowledge of Chinese Herbal Medicine.
  Your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in downtown Beijing at about 5:00 to 6:00pm.
