Detailed Itinerary
- Day 1. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace.
Visit Tiananmen Square. There are many cultural and political institutions around the square. The Tiananmen Rostrum is the place where Chairmen Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Proceed to the Forbidden City, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. As one of the World Cultural Relics, Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved palace complex in China.- After lunch, driver to Temple of Heaven. Strictly built on the basis of philosophical requirements, Temple of Heaven is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world.
Then visit Summer Palace. Regarded as a museum of gardens in China, the Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural landscape and royal architectures.
Transfer back to your hotel after the tour at around 17:30. - Lunch, ,
- Day 2. Ming Tombs, Mutianyu Great Wall.
Driver to Ming Tombs with a history of over 600 years. It is the final resting place of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors. Visit the largest tomb, Changling. The hall of Chang Ling is the largest structure of nanmu wood in China.- After lunch, visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. Featured picturesque landscape and dense watch towers, Mutianyu is the longest fully-restored section of Great Wall. Cable car is optional for your choice.
On the way back, there is a chance to watch 2008 Olympic venue (Bird Nest and Water Cube) from window of your private vehicle.
