Beijing 6 Days Leisure Tour with two days sightseeing

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrival.  
• 
  Arrive in Beijing.
  Be met from airport or railway station by private vehicle and transferred to hotel for checking in.
• Remainder of the day is at leisure.

• Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Badaling Great Wall.  
• 
  Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.
  Visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong.
  Move on to Forbidden City. It is the essence of traditional Chinese architecture. Being the world's largest palace complex, Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911).
• Head to Badaling Great Wall in the afternoon. Featured with magnificent architectures and breathtaking nature scenery, Badaling is the best preserved and most popular section of the Great Wall. It has a length of 7.6 kilometers with 30 watchtowers.
  Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Beijing Hutong, outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube.

  Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420 during Ming Dynasty, Temple of Heaven is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. The main buildings are Circular Mound Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest.
  Proceed to Summer Palace. Known as the "Museum of Royal Gardens", Summer Palace was first built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty as a summer resort. It is the largest imperial garden of China and was included the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
• Head to Shichahai Lake area to explore Beijing Hutong in the afternoon. Beijing Hutongs are lanes or alleys formed by the traditional courtyard compounds(Siheyuan) on both sides. With a history of over 700 years, they are a museum of Beijing's folk custom and they are a witness to the city's history.
  Then go to Olympic Park to have an outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube. As the two main venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, these two buildings are architectural wonders.
  Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.
