Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Beijing: Entry Beijing, Beijing Hutong, Temple of Heaven  
• Airport >30km> Hotel >8km> Beijing Hutong >6km> Temple of Heaven > Hotel.
• 
  Arrive at Beijing Airport. Be met and transfer to hotel to put down luggage if time permit. Drive to discover Beijing Hutong in downtown area closed to Drum tower. Rickshaw is arranged for your unique experience of discovering the lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan. The sightseeing time in Hutong area is around one hour.
  Lunch will be arranged in local restaurant.
• Drive to visit the largest sacrificial building complex in China - Temple of Heaven. In ancient time, Chinese Emperor came to the place every winter to pray for harvests and good weather of next year. We will visit the Temple of Heaven from south to north along the central axis. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest is the main building of the complex.
  You will be transferred back to hotel after the sightseeing.
• Note
  • It is possible to have lunch in a local families' house. Please let tour guide know if you prefer the experience.
  • There are many kinds of activities related with local culture or custom, such as visiting local family, Chinese Handwriting study, Beijing Opera Face Painting study, Chinese paper-cutting study, learning Chinese Tachi and Chinese Dumpling Study.

  Temple of Heaven

• Day2. Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Olympic Park  
• Hotel >6km> Tiananmen Square >0.5km> Forbidden City >26km> Summer Palace >15km> Olympic Park >16km> Hotel.
• 
  Private tour guide and driver will meet you from hotel lobby at 08:30am on the morning. Drive to visit the biggest downtown square - Tiananmen Square. The square covers many important buildings, such as Great Hall of the People, Monument to the People's Heroes, Mausoleum of Chairman Mao, etc. From the north end of Tiananmen Square, We will enter the Forbidden City - the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years, 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasty. The visiting of the imperial palace is about two hours, along the central axis.
  Chinese lunch is arranged in local restaurant.
• Located around 25 km from center of Beijing, Summer Palace is a former imperial garden with an area of 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings. The sightseeing in Summer Palace is around 1.5 to 2 hours based on your pace.

  • A la carte is possible for lunch.
  • It is possible to talk about your flavor on the way to restaurant.
  • Tickets of Forbidden City needs to be reserved in advance, which save the waiting time in line. Please send your passport copy to tour advisor when make reservation, then we will do the rest.
  • It is possible to take a boat in Summer Palace during the season of summer.

• Day 3. Beijing: Ming Tomb, Badaling Great Wall.   
• Hotel >60km> Ming Tomb >10km> restaurant > 30km> Badaling Great Wall >75km> Hotel.
• 
  Private tour guide and driver will meet you from hotel lobby at around 08:30 am. Drive around 1 hour to Ming Tomb. Today we will visit the biggest one of thirteen Ming tombs - Changling Tomb. We will discover the best preserved tomb palace - LingEn Palace. This is the only huge palace made of camphor wood from Ming Dynasty. The usual visiting time is one hour.
  Drive 15 minutes to the local town for lunch.
• After lunch, we will drive 30 minutes to famous Badaling Great Wall. Built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty, Great wall of Badaling section is the best preserved part near Beijing. It is relatively easy to be visited. The suggested sightseeing time is1.5 to 2 hours. You will be transferred back to hotel in downtown Beijing after the sightseeing.
• Note
  • The traffic between downtown Beijing and Badaling Great Wall is heavy, especially during rush hour.
  • It is possible to take a light hiking on Badaling Great Wall. Please let us know when make reservation.
  • Cable car is available at Badaling Great Wall, which is helpful for elders or kids.

• Day 4. Beijing-Beijing Airport,  Xian Airport-Xian. Big Wild Goose Pagoda  
• Hotel >30km> Beijing Airport >Xian >50km> Hotel in Xian >8km> Big Wild Goose Pagoda >8km> Hotel.
• 
  Be met from hotel of Beijing, transfer to airport to connect flight to Xian.
• Be met by Xian local guide. Drive to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Return to hotel for check in after lunch. Remainder of the day is at leisure.
• Note
  • Boxed breakfast will be arranged if the flight needs early departure from hotel in Beijing.
  • The visiting time of Big Wild Goose Pagoda is subject to change based on flight from Beijing to Xian.

• Day 5. Xian: Terracotta Warriors, Steles Forest, City Wall, Dumpling Banquet, Tang Dynasty Show  
• Hotel >50km> Terracotta Warriors >46km> Stele Forest >2km> City Wall >3km> Theater >3km> Hotel
• 
  Be picked up from hotel lobby at 08:30 am. Drive one hour to discover Terracotta Warriors and Horses -the Eighth Wonder of the World. More than 6000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. The normal visiting time is 1 to 2 hours. Have lunch in local restaurant.
• After lunch, drive back to downtown Xian to visit Steles Forest Museum - a classical courtyard with the oldest and richest collection of Chinese stone steles. Then will drive to visit City Wall - the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. The wall has a history of over 600 years.
• Today, Dumpling Banquet will be arranged as dinner. It is the traditional food with a history around 2000 years.
  Then we will enjoy the Tang Dynasty Style Performance. The performance is a combination of traditional entertainment attributable with historical records and ancient Chinese cultural relics.
  The time back to hotel is around 21:00.
• Note
  • Terracotta Warriors is located around 50 km east of Xian city. The traffic is heavy during rush hour, especially during public holiday.
  • It is possible to take bicycling on City Wall if time permit.

• Day 6. Xian: ShaanXi Provincial History Museum, Great Mosque, Xian-Xianyang Airport;   Shanghai Airport - Shanghai Hotel.  
• 
  Be met from your hotel in downtown Xian at 08:30 am.
  Drive to visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum -a magnificent architectural complex in the Tang Dynasty style. It is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China.
  Visit Great Mosque -the largest and best-preserved muslim mosques in China, which serves as an important spot for religious activities of over 60,000 Muslims in Xi'an.
• Be met from hotel and transfer to airport to connect flight to Shanghai.
  Reach Shanghai airport, be met and transfer to hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

• Day 7. Shanghai: Yuyuan Garden, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Nanjing Road, the Bund, Huangpu River Cruise, Acrobatic Show.   
• 
  After breakfast in hotel, you will be met by private tour guide in lobby at 08:30am. Drive to visit the well-known garden of Shanghai - Yu Garden. With pavilions, halls, chambers, towers, ponds and rockeries, Yu Garden presents more than 40 scenic spots in Suzhou Garden style.
  Then we will drive to visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower - the third tallest TV and radio tower on the world for the time being.
• After lunch in downtown Shanghai, we will drive to visit Nanjing Road. Being called the first business street, Nanjing Road is one of the most bustling business streets in China. It is also the window to connect Shanghai with the world. Most foreign travelers prefer to take a walk in this famous street.
  Move on to visit the Bund - famous waterfront with buildings in different architectural styles along Huangpu River.
  Then we will take a short Cruise on Huangpu River. This is a good method to enjoy city view on both banks of the river.
• After dinner in local restaurant, we will drive to enjoy Acrobatic Show in local theater. Packed with skill color and excitement, this performance offers a wonderful end of the trip. Return to hotel at around 21:10.
• Note
  • The check in time of river cruise is possible to be adjusted based on your visiting speed.
  • The normal start time of Acrobatic Show is 19:30.
•   Buffet breakfast in hotel, lunch and dinner in local restaurant.
• Day 8. Departure from Shanghai.   
• 
  Be picked up from hotel 4 hours before departure time and transferred to the airport to connect homeward flight. Service end.

  • Boxed breakfast is suggested if you takes morning departure flight
  • Pick up 4 hours before departure time is necessary(unless tour guide give you a new pick up time), because the traffic of Shanghai is heavy.
