Day 1. Arrival in Luoyang
English speaking tour guide of Beijingservice will meet you up at Luoyang
railway station. Then we will transfer you to the hotel for check in.
Drive to visit Museum of Luoyang Eastern Zhou Royal Horse and Chariot
Pits. Located on the Eastern Zhou Royal City Square center of the city.
This is a special museum mainly displays the giant horse and chariot
sacrificial pit of Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-221 B.C).
Day 2. Luoyang
White Horse Temple, Shaolin Monastery
Tour guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 am on the morning.
Drive to visit the White Horse Temple. Established by the Han Dynasty
in 68 AD, it is the first temple built by the government after Buddhism
of India reached China.
Then we will visit visit the Shaolin Monastery. Built in 495AD, it is
the the cradle of Kung Fu (wushu) and the Chinese Buddhism. Visit attractions
here including the Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwangdian), the Pagoda
Forest and the Shaolin Temple Martial Art Training Center.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the tour. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 3. Longmen Grottoes, Departure
After breakfast in hotel, we will visit the Longmen Grottoes, which
contains the largest and most impressive collection of Early Chinese
Buddhist cave art represented by well-preserved pagodas, carvings and
statues.
Be picked up from your hotel and transferred to train station for departure.
