12 Days China Tour of Guangzhou Kunming Dali Lijiang Shanghai

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrival at Guangzhou.  
• 
  Reach Guangzhou airport or railway station. Your private guide will wait at the exit and escort you to hotel for check in.
  Free for the remainder of the day.

• Day 2. Guangzhou: Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall, Yuexiu Park, Chen Clan Temple, Xiguan Ancient Grand House.  
• 
  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Proceed to Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall, a key historical relic sponsored by local people of Guangzhou and overseas Chinese. It is in memory of Sun Yat-sen, the great revolutionary forerunner.
  Visit Yuexiu Park, which is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. The park is made up of three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain. It is also famous for its Zhenhai Tower and the Sculpture of the Five Rams.
• Then have a tour to Chen Clan Temple. Built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, This ancestral temple is the largest, best preserved, and best decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province.
  Move on to Xiguan Ancient Grand House. The houses were built by the rich and powerful families during the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911). With traditional Lingnan characteristics, these buildings are grand and bright with their halls and gardens combined with each other and decorated brilliantly.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 3. Take flight to Kunming.  Arrive in Kunming and check in hotel.

  Pick you up from hotel and transfer to airport. Take flight to Kunming.

• Day 4. Yunnan Minority Village, Western Hill, Haigeng Park.  
• 
  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to Yunnan Minority Village, an ethnic theme park shows the architecture and the normal life of the minority of Yunnan. Travelers can enjoy he characteristic sceneries, colorful minority songs and dance performances.
  
• Then proceed to Western Hill. The hill is famous for its lush vegetation, blooming flowers, green grass and tranquility. Climb up the hill and take a bird view of Kunming city.
  Move on to Haigeng Park. The park is the main site to enjoy the Dianchi Lake, the sixth largest freshwater lake in China and has been praised as the “Pearl of the Plateau”. Plenty of seagulls from Siberia spend their winter time in the park. Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 5. Kunming: Stone Forest.  
• 
  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to the World Karst Landscape Museum, Stone Forest. Covering 400 square kilometers, Stone Forest is made up of large numbers of awesome natural rock formations with grotesque shapes. It has been regarded as “The First Wonder of the World”.
• Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 6. Take train to Dali.  Arrive in Dali, Erhai Lake, Dali Ancient Town.

  Take speed train to Dali in the morning.
  
  
• Local guide will meet you at train station in Dali.
  Drive to Erhai Lake, a beautiful highland lake of Yunnan Province and one of the seven largest fresh water lakes in China. There are three major islands in the lake: Jinsuo, Chiwen and Yuji.
  Move on to Dali Ancient Town. The town has about 800 years’ history. Traditional Bai houses, the houses with gray-green roof tiles, unique workshops and temples are scattered in the ancient town. Transfer you to check in the hotel.

• Day 7. Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, take train to Lijiang.   Arrive in Lijiang and hotel check-in.

  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  First go to visit Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. With a history of more than 1800 years, Three Pagodas are regarded as the symbol of Dali city and recorded the Buddhism development in this area.
  Then transfer you to take the train for Lijiang.
  
  
• Local guide will meet you at train station in Lijiang and escort you to check in the hotel.

• Day 8. Lijiang: Glacier Park, Baisha Ancient Town and Baisha Murals.  
• 
  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to Glacier Park located at the bottom of the main peak Shanzidou of Jade Snow Mountain. The biggest glacier of the snow mountain, “ Baishui No.1” glacier, can be enjoyed in this park.
• Proceed to Baisha Ancient Town, which is the most pristine Naxi village. The town was the earliest political and spiritual center of Naxi ethnic minority.
  Enjoy Baisha Murals in Baisha Ancient Town. The murals describe the religious stories of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism with the fine and smooth lines, bright colors and vivid pattern.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

• Day 9. Drive to Shangrila, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Dukezong Ancient Town.

  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to Shangrila.
  Visit Tiger Leaping Gorge on the way. Between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountian, Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest gorge in the world. The gorge enjoys the fame as being queer, perilous, sublime and magnificent.
• Arrive in Shangrila and visit Dukezong Ancient Town. Dukezong Ancient Town is the biggest and best preserved tibet residence group in China. It is also the important hub of the ancient Tea-horse Trade Ancient Road. Then transfer you to check in the hotel.

• Day 10. Pudacuo National Park, flight to Shanghai.  Arrive in Shanghai and check in hotel.

  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Visit Pudacuo National Park in the morning. Pudacuo National Park is an inseparable part of the Three Parallel Rivers-a world natural heritage. It mainly consists of Shudu Lake, Militang Pasture and Bita Lake. The eco environment is well preserved with marsh, lakes, virgin forests, brooks, springs, rare fauna and flora resources.
• Then transfer you to airport to take the flight for Shanghai.

• Day 11. Shanghai: Yu Garden, Nanjing Road, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, The Bund, Huangpu River Cruise.  
• 
  Your guide will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Start your Shanghai trip with Yu Garden. This well-restored Suzhou-style garden is one of the best gardens in southern China. It perfectly combines pavilions, halls, bridges, towers, ponds and rockeries.
  Take a stroll on Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is the most prosperous shopping street in Shanghai and one of the top ten pedestrian streets in China.
• After lunch, proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. This 468-meter-high tower is the most recognizable landmark of Shanghai. It has four major sightseeing observatories at different heights.
  Wander on The Bund. The Bund is a famous waterfront along the Huangpu River. It is famed as "Exhibition of International Buildings" because of 52 various buildings in different architectural styles, such as Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque and the Renaissance.
  Take a cruise on Huangpu River, which is a good way to discover the old and new Shanghai.
  Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.
