Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Entry Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer you to hotel. Remainder of day is at leisure.

Day 2. Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Beijing Hutong, Temple of Heaven, Pecking Duck Dinner and Opera
English speaking tour guide and private vehicle will pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
Drive to the famous Tiananmen Square - The biggest downtown Square of the world.  Stroll around the square. From the north end of Tiananmen Square, we will enter the Forbidden City -also called Palace Museum, is located at the center of Beijing. It was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex.
Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 1.5 to 2 hours. Proceed to Beijing Hutong -ancient city alley in Beijing.  Many of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming (1368-1628) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City.  Take rickshaw to visit the ancient Beijing Hutong including Local family, Drum tower, Shicha Lake (also called Houhai Lake) and bar street. Drive to the Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Take sightseeing in the temple for one hour.
Be transferred to enjoy Beijing Roast Duck Dinner. Beijing Roast Duck is delicious food with Beijing local flavor.  Eating Peking duck is seen to be one of the two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing.  You have one hour for dinner and rest. 
Enjoy Beijing Opera.  
Be transferred back to your hotel after the performance. (B, L, D)

Day 3. Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tomb (Visit Changling Tomb), Sacred Way
Be picked up from hotel at 08:30 am. 
Drive one and half-hours to the famous Badaling Great Wall -the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained. It is easy to walk along this section of defensive project of ancient China. Take sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall for about 2 hours. Drive 20minutes to Ming Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one.  Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Visit the tomb for one hour.  Move on to visit the sacred way for half an hour. 
Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (B, L)

Day 4. Summer Palace, Beijing – Xian
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Drive to Summer palace - 20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc.
Be transferred to airport to connect flight to Xian. 
Xian Tour guide and private vehicle will meet you at Xian airport. Transfer your to the hotel. (B, L)


Day 5. Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Huaqing Hot Spring, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Dance Show and Dinner
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses -the Eighth Wonder of the World. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Move on to appreciate the imperial garden of Tang Dynasty- Huaqing Hot Spring - a palace since the Tang Dynasty, the resort place of many emperors in ancient. Then we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda -Originally built in 652 of Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is functioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. Now it is Landmark of the Xian.
Enjoy the Tang Dynasty dinner and show in the evening.  Transfer back to your hotel after the performance. (B, L, D)

Day 6. Xian Provincial History Museum, Great Mosque and Bazaar, City Wall, Drum Tower and Square
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Visit the Provincial Museum -a magnificent architectural complex in the Tang Dynasty style. It is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China. Visit the Great Mosque -the largest and best-preserved mosques of China, which serves as an important spot for religious activities of over 60,000 Muslims in Xi’an. Visit Great Mosque Bazaar. Move on to visit the City Wall - the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China.  The wall has a history of over 600 years. Proceed to visit Drum Tower and Square.

Day 7. Xian – Lhasa, Nietang Buddha
Be transferred to airport to connect flight to Lhasa.  
Arriving in Lhasa, be met by tour guide and private vehicle in airport.  Visit the Nietang Buddha on the way from airport to your hotel.  Check in Hotel. 
Remainder of the days is at leisure. (B, D)

Day 8. Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka Park and a typical Tibetan Family
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am. 
Visit the Potala Palace. Originally built in the seventh century, Potala Palace is landmark of Lhasa. It is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks. Then we will visit the Sera Monastery - one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419, the collection of murals is maintained in perfect, original condition. Move on to visit the Norbulingka Park. Built in the 1740s, Norbulingka Park was Dalai Lama's summer palace. Visit a Tibetan family to get some information of Tibetan’s life and local custom. Be transferred back to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 9. Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, the Barkhor Street, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital, the local Carpet Factory
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am. 
Visit the Drepung Monastery - known as the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism.  Established in 1416, Drepung Monastery houses many cultural relics, which make it more superb. Then we will visit the Jokhang Temple -the holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists. Move on to visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street - Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid. Visit the Tibetan Traditional Hospital and the local Carpet Factory.

Day 10. Tibet Museum, Lhasa –Chongqing, Giant Panda House, Chongqing – Cruise ship
Transfer to airport to connect flight for Chongqing.
Be picked up by English speaking tour guide and vehicle from Chongqing airport. Visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo. Be transferred to cruise port to check-in the cruise ship. (B, L, D)

Day 11. Yangtze River Cruise Ship
In the afternoon, go ashore to visit-Fengdu, the “Ghost City”, where the Chinese believe the soul of the dead goes. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The balance of the day is free for you to explore the ship’s amenities. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats. In the evening, you will be the guests at the captain’s cocktail party. (B, L, D)

Day 12. Yangtze River Cruise Ship
Cruise through the two of the great Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, framed by steep mossy cliffs and Wu Gorge, celebrated for its 12 peaks. Then shore excursion to Shennong Stream, Shennong Stream is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. Next, sail through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of the Three Gorges. Pass through the five-step ship locks. Enjoy Farewell Party in the evening. (B, L, D)

Day 13. Cruise ship- Yichang - Shanghai
Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. Arrives in Yichang at about 11:30.
Be met by our local tour guide and transferred to airport to connect flight to Shanghai. (B, L)

Day 14. Yu Garden and market, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Nanjing Road, the Bund, Acrobatic Show
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am.
Visit Yu Garden -one of the best Suzhou-style gardens in southern China. Proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower -the world’s third tallest TV and radio tower, which combines ancient concepts with 21st Century technology. Then to visit Nanjing Road and the Bund. Enjoy Acrobatic Show in the evening.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the performance. (B, L, D)



Day 15. Shanghai – Guilin, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park

Be transferred to airport to connect flight to Guilin.  
Arriving in Guilin, be met and transferred to your hotel with private vehicle and tour guide. Have private city tour in this scenery city. Visit Reed Flute Cave -Known as “the Palace of Natural Arts” contains beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.  Then we will visit Elephant Trunk Hill -the symbol of Guilin, looks like a giant elephant with a long trunk. Visit Seven Star Park - the biggest park in Guilin.
Be transferred back to your hotel.  (B, L)

Day 16. Li River Cruise, YangShuo
Pick up from your hotel in the morning.
Be transferred to the Zhujiang Pier (about 1 hour drive) for a 4.5 hours wonderful Li River cruise with lunch aboard. You will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the riverbank. Disembark at the one thousand year old town YangShuo -one-thousand-year-old town, a lovely and relaxing place to break a journey and to soak up some of China’s most beautiful scenery in the afternoon.
Enjoy evening show Impress Liusanjie.
Stay overnight in Yangshuo. (B, L, D)

Day 17. Guilin – Hongkong
Transfer to Guilin airport to take flight to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong guide and driver meet you at the airport, transfer to your hotel, remainder of the day is on your own. (B)

Day 18.  Half-day Hong Kong tour, free in the afternoon
Pick you up from your hotel, have a half -day island tour: Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Fishing, Stanley Market. Afternoon is for your free shopping. (B)

Day 19.  Departure
Be transferred to HongKong Airport for departure.  (B)
