  • Day 1. Reach Beijing. Beijing Zoo(Panda), Hutong, outside view of Bird Nest.   
  • Day 2. Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace.   
  • Day 3. Beijing: Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall.   
  • Day 4. Take flight to Xian.  Reach Xian. Ancient City Wall, Shaanxi History Museum, Shuyuanmen Street.   
  • Day 5. Xian: Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Stele Forest Museum, Muslim Quarter.   
  • Day 6. Take flight to Shanghai.  Reach Shanghai. The Bund, Shanghai Old Street, Shanghai Museum, People's Square.   
  • Day 7. Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden, Grand Canal, Zhouzhuang Watertown.    
  • Day 8. Shanghai: Yu Garden and Yuyuan Bazaar, Pudong New District, Oriental Pearl Tower, Cruise on Huangpu River, Nanjing Road.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Reach Beijing. Beijing Zoo(Panda), Hutong, outside view of Bird Nest.   

  • Upon arrival at Beijing airport or train station, your guide will greet you at the exit.
    Drive to Beijing Zoo, the earliest and one of the biggest zoos in China. We will visit the Panda House to see lovely giant pandas. This bearlike mammal with bulky body and round face is loved by the people worldwide.
  • Then visit Beijing Hutongs in Shichahai Area. Beijing Hutongs are narrow lanes surrounded by traditional courtyard residences. Man-power rickshaw is arranged for you to feel the traditional culture and way of life of old Beijingers.
    Proceed to visit Olympic Park. The park was built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Have an outside view of the landmark buildings in the park, Bird Nest and Water Cube. Bird Nest is the largest steel structural stadium in the world.
    Transfer you to the hotel for check in.

  • Day 2. Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace.   

  • Meet your guide at hotel lobby at 08:30am.
    Visit Tiananmen Square first. Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China.
    Move on to Forbidden City. As the largest imperial palace complex in the world, Forbidden City was listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. It is the essence of ancient Chinese palace architecture.
  • After lunch, we will visit Temple of Heaven. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Temple of Heaven was the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1912) came to perform worship to the God of Heaven and pray for good harvests.
    Continue to Summer Palace. Summer Palace was the summer resort for the emperors of Qing Dynasty(1644-1912). Perfectly combines the natural scenery and artificial landscape, it is the best-preserved and largest royal garden existing in China.
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 3. Beijing: Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall.   

  • Meet your guide at hotel lobby at 08:30am.
    Drive to Ming Tombs, which is the final resting place of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors. We will visit Changling Tomb. It is the largest tomb in architectural scale. The hall of Changling is the largest structure of nanmu wood in China.
  • Visit Badaling Great Wall after lunch. Built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty, Badaling is the best preserved and most visited section of China Great Wall. It features magnificent architectures and breathtaking nature scenery.
    Transfer you back to the hotel after the tour.

  • Day 4. Take flight to Xian.  Reach Xian. Ancient City Wall, Shaanxi History Museum, Shuyuanmen Street.   

  • Pick you up from hotel and transfer to airport. Take flight to Xian.Arrive in Xian Xianyang Airport and meet your guide at the exit.
    Drive to visit Ancient City Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) for military defense, Xian Ancient City Wall is one of the most important landmarks of Xian city. It comprises moat, city gate, watchtowers, battlements, ramparts and crenels.
  • Proceed to Shaanxi History Museum after lunch. The museum houses over 170, 000, 0 cultural relics, displaying the history and culture of Shaanxi province and ancient China. It is the first large state museum with modern facilities in China.
    Move on to Shuyuanmen Street. This is a cultural street restored in the style of the ancient architectures. Over 100 shops on the street mainly sell the four treasures of study (Writing brush, ink stick, paper and ink slab) and Chinese calligraphies and paintings.

  • Day 5. Xian: Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Stele Forest Museum, Muslim Quarter.   

  • Meet your guide at hotel lobby at 08:30am.
    Proceed to visit Terracotta Warriors. Terracotta Warriors is the must-see for the visitors who come to Xian. It is famed as the eighth wonder of the world. More than 8,000 life-size, vivid terracotta sculptures arranged in a large-scale battle formation represent the guard troops of the Emperor Qin Shihuang(259-210BC), the first Emperor of China.
  • After lunch, head to Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Located in the Da Ci'en Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the landmark buildings of Xian. It is famous for excellent architecture, Buddhist relics and religious culture.
    Move on to Stele Forest Museum. The museum is the largest stone stele library in China. More than 11,000 cultural relics are housed in the museum including stone inscriptions, epigraphs and Buddhist statues.
    Continue to Muslim Quarter. Also called Muslim Street, Muslim Quarter is the hub of the Muslim community of Xian. It covers several blocks inhabited by over 20,000 Muslims. Muslim food and souvenir market is booming in this area.

  • Day 6. Take flight to Shanghai.  Reach Shanghai. The Bund, Shanghai Old Street, Shanghai Museum, People's Square.   

  • Pick you up from hotel and transfer to airport. Take flight to Shanghai.Arrive in Shanghai Pudong Airport and meet your guide at the exit.
    Drive to The Bund. Famed as "Exhibition of International Buildings", The Bund is the most popular place of Shanghai and full of history and culture. It mainly features 52 various buildings with different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
    Then visit Shanghai Old Street. It is an old business street dotted by local Chinese shop, store, tea house, old style bank and restaurant. Most architectures in the street were built in Ming and Qing Dynasties(1368-1911).
  • After lunch, proceed to Shanghai Museum, one of the largest and best museums in China. The museum houses over 120,000 cultural relics including bronze wares, ceramics, jade, sculptures, paintings and calligraphy works.
    Walk around on People's Square where Shanghai Museum located. The square is a garden-style square combining politics, culture, commerce and transportation of Shanghai city.

  • Day 7. Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden, Grand Canal, Zhouzhuang Watertown.    

  • Meet your guide at hotel lobby at 08:30am.
    Drive to Suzhou to visit Humble Administrator's Garden. The garden is the largest ancient garden in Suzhou and one of the top four classical gardens in China. Its scenery is focused on a central pond. Various buildings of pavilions, terraces, chambers and towers located by the water or on hillocks.
    Then visit Grand Canal in Suzhou. Grand Canal is the longest artificial canal in the world. Its section in Suzhou makes a circuit around Suzhou Old City. Walk along the canal to enjoy the whitewashed houses, ancient city gates and various bridges.
  • Move on to Zhouzhuang Watertown in the afternoon. With a history of about 1,000 years, Zhouzhuang Water Town is called the "Venice of the East". It is famous for well-preserved residential houses, distinctive stone bridges, elegant watery views and local culture.
    Transfer you back to hotel in Shanghai after the tour.

  • Day 8. Shanghai: Yu Garden and Yuyuan Bazaar, Pudong New District, Oriental Pearl Tower, Cruise on Huangpu River, Nanjing Road.  

  • Meet your guide at hotel lobby at 08:30am.
    Proceed to Yu Garden and Yuyuan Bazaar. With a history of over 400 years, Yu Garden is one of the best gardens in southern China. The garden features authentic old architectures, rockeries and exquisite carvings.
    Yuyuan Bazaar near the Yu Garden is a market with many traditional Chinese architectures, which are used for restaurants, tea houses and stores. You can taste local snacks, buy local products and souvenirs here.
  • Then drive to Pudong New District. Located on the east bank of the Huangpu River, Pudong New District is the epitome of Shanghai's modernization. Many global institutions and modern skyscrapers are situated in this area.
    Visit the most recognizable landmark of Shanghai City, Oriental Pearl Tower. This 468 meters high tower is a popular place with various interest, commerce, and recreation. It has four major sightseeing observatories at different heights.
    Take a cruise on Huangpu River. It is a good way to appreciate the charming landscape and discover the city's history. You can enjoy the historical European-style architectures on the Bund and the modern skyscrapers opposite the river.
    Continue to Nanjing Road, the busiest shopping street in Shanghai. The road has over 600 businesses including all-in-one shopping malls, old-brand stores, latest fashion stores, world-class hotels, cafés and restaurants.
