Drive to Tiananmen Square - the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, Tianananmen Square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China and it is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong.

Then we will enter the Forbidden City from the north end of Tiananmen Square. Forbidden City also called Palace Museum. It is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics. The palace was the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years. As one of the World Cultural Relics, the palace consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms.
Take sightseeing in Forbidden City along the central axis for 1.5 to 2 hours.

Have lunch in a restaurant of downtown Beijing. This is a buffet restaurant prepared mainly for western travelers. They know the taste of western travelers. Travelers can pick up food according to personal flavor.
After lunch, we will drive to Summer Palace.
Summer Palace was first built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 2.9 square kilometers, including 70,000 square meters of building space. Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural landscape of hills and open water with humankind works such as pavilions, halls, palaces and bridges. In 1998, UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List.
Take sightseeing in Summer Palace for about one hour.

|Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall. Overnight Train to Xian
English speaking tour guide and private vehicle will pick you up from hotel at 08:30 am.
Drive 1.5 hours to the Ming Tombs. Ming Tombs is the final resting place of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors, along with 23 empresses and a number of concubines. It has a history of over 600 years. Surrounded by mountains on three sides,
the Ming Tombs features splendid landscape.
Chang Ling (the Tomb of Chang) was built by the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty in 1409 AD. Chang Ling is the largest tomb in architectural scale. The hall of Chang Ling is the largest structure of nanmu wood in China. Visit Changling for 1 hour.

On the way to restaurant, we will visit a large scale Jadeware processing factory.
Jade culture is one important part of Chinese culture. We hope foreign travelers can get a glimpse of Chinese Jade culture during this stop.
Thousands of pieces of jade, jewelry and handicraft articles are exhibited, from small bracelet to huge carving. An open workshop is available to demonstrate Jade carving, which enable customers to get some knowledge of Chinese jade carving processes. We have 40 minutes here.
Have lunch in a restaurant nearby.
Move on to the famous Badaling Great Wall. The Great Wall was built and maintained between the 7th century BC and 17th century BC. It was originally built to protect the empire from northern invaders. The Great Wall stretches through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains for 8,851.8 kilometers.
Badaling section was built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty. This part of the Great Wall is the best preserved and most visited one. It is 7600 meters long and 1000 meters above sea level, commanding a strategic position in ancient times.

Take sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall for about 2 hours.
Drive back to Beijing city and transfer to airport to connect flight to Xian.
We will take MU2118, (19:00-21:00) to Xian and Check in Xian hotel around 22:20.
| Xian City Wall, Stele Forest, Xian Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Drive to visit Ancient City Wall of Xian.
The Xian City Wall is the oldest, largest and best preserved city wall of China, which used to be an important military defensive system to fortify the city. With a deep moat surrounding it, the present city wall stands 12 meters high, 12-14 meters wide on the top, 15-18 meters thick at bottom and 13.7 kilometers in length. There are altogether 98 ramparts on the wall, which were built to defend against the enemy climbing up the wall.
Move on to visit Stele Forest Museum.
Covering an area of 31,000 square meters in a classical courtyard styled structure , the Stele Forest is the largest stone stele library in China.
With 3000 steles in the museum, the Stele Forest is divided into seven major exhibition halls, presenting works of calligraphy, painting and historical records. Most of the steles are from the Han Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty and the successive dynasties.
Visit a embroidery factory. The main products include mechanical embroidery, manual embroidery, tie-dyeing, silk blankets, applique, embroidered clothes. Find some products you like.
Have lunch in a nice restaurant.
After lunch, we will visit ShannXi Provincial History Museum
Built between 1983 and 1991, Shannxi Provincial History Museum is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, featuring an architectural style of the Tang Dynasty.
Covered in a magnificent architectural complex in the Tang Dynasty style, the museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.
Proceed to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda was first built in 652AD for the storage of Buddhist sutras and figurines which were brought to China from India by the Buddhist translator and traveller Xuanzhang.
The present 7-storey Pagoda was built with layers of bricks without any cement in between. Big Wild Goose Pagoda has been a master piece with its marvelous architectural styles, and a landmark of Xian city.
Be transferred back to hotel after the tour.
|Terracotta Warriors, Great Mosque, Bell & Drum Tower Square. Flight to Shanghai.

Drive to visit Terracotta Warriors.
Beijing the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Terracotta Warriors, dating back to 210 BC, is a form of funerary art buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Each terracotta figure differs in height, facial features, clothing, hairstyle and gestures. 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses are scatted in three excavated pits.
You may have chance to visit a Terracotta Warriors Copy factory to see the process of making a Terracotta Warriors.
After lunch, drive back to Xian City to visit Great Mosque.
Built in 742 AD during the Tang Dynasty, the Great Mosque is one of the oldest and best-preserved mosques in China. Unlike most mosques in Middle Eastern or Arab countries, the Mosque is a construction with strong Chinese architectural features. Nowadays, the Great Mosque still serves as an important spot for religious activities of over 60,000 Muslims in Xian.
Move on to visit the Bell & Drum Tower Square.
Located in downtown Xian, the Bell & Drum Tower Square is the place to sit two famous towers: Bell and Drum Tower.
The square is also a nice place for local people to get relaxed and enjoy the leisure.
For foreign travelers, it is a good place to see the two aspects of the city: abundant ancient Chinese culture dancing with a metropolis.
Be transferred to airport to connect flight to Shanghai.

|Day 5. Shanghai: The Bund, Old Street, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai 1933 Old Millfun.

Drive to visit the Bund.
The Bund, also called Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.
The most famous and attractive sights are the 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance, which are also located at the west side of the Bund.
Move on to visit Shanghai Old Street.
The street is build in old-Shanghai style，Travellers may get a feeling of getting back to 1930's. Local stores and other small art shop stands along the street.
After lunch, we will visit Shanghai Museum.
Known as the Museum of Ancient Chinese Art, Shanghai Museum was established in 1952. You will find more than 120,000 precious and rare works of art in 21 categories.
In addition to the 11 galleries, the museum includes three exhibition halls, a tearoom, a restaurant, shops, a high-definition graphics hall, a library and a VIP garden.
Then we will drive to visit Shanghai 1933 Old Millfun.
The huge building was designed by a British architect and was built in 1933, which is why it has 1933 in its name. Used to be the largest slaughter house in East Asia, the building is a unique masterpiece of architecture and different from any buildings and got its own style. It is quite like a castle or a maze. Now it is a attraction where you can find some good restaurants, shopping, experience some fashion and art. Many international brands held their promotion events here, and a number of well-known enterprises have moved in.
Be transferred back to hotel after the whole day tour.
| Yu Garden & market, Pudong District, Oriental Pearl Tower, Renmin Square, Nanjing Road.
Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am.
Drive to visit Yu Garden. Located in the southern part of Shanghai, Yu Garden is a well-restored Suzhou-style garden. It is one of the best gardens in southern China. With pavilions, halls, chambers, towers, ponds and rockeries, it presents more than 40 scenic spots. No wonder people say "Those who have come to Shanghai missing Yu Garden can not claim that they have been to the city."
After lunch, we will visit Pudong New District.
Located on the coast of the East China Sea and along the east bank of Huangpu River, Pudong New District arose from China’s policy of ’Opening Up’ and economic development.
Pudong opened in April, 1990, and has underdone incredible changes. Covering an area of 570,000m², Pudong New District is now considered a modern new urban district and Shanghai’s modernization and prestige as center of world commerce.
Move on to visit Oriental Pearl Tower.
Being the world's third tallest TV and radio tower, the Tower is made up of 11 balls, the lowest of which is 118 meters high and the tallest being 295 meters. The Tower provides 3 major sightseeing floors for a bird's eye view of the city in different height, separately in the heights of 98, 263 and 350 meters.
Then we will dive to visit Renmin Square.
Beijing a large public square adjacent to Nanjing Road in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, Renmin Square was a course for horse racing owned by the Shanghai Race Club before 1949.
Now it is the the place of new Municipal Government Mansion lies in, as well the city's important transportation hubs.
A blue and white dovecot can be seen in the southwest side of the square. Visitors will see thousands of pigeon which provide a peaceful and matronly atmosphere
Proceed to visit Nanjing Road.
Nanjing Road is one of the most famous and bustling business streets in the world. It is also called Chinese First Business Street. The street is the window for Shanghai to open to the world and also shopping paradise for people at home and abroad.
Be transferred to airport or train station for departure.
