Legend and Story:
It was said that vassals who were not loyal, son or daughter who had no filial piety were not allowed to get into the Royal Ancestral Temple.
China He Clock was designed to welcome the coming of the new century, taking Bianzhong of Zenghouyi of 2,400 years earlier as the prototype. It was finished in November 1999 and was set in Xiangdian Hall as the main historical relic of Ancestral Temple. Chairman Jiang Zemin rang it first on January 1, 2000.
Nowadays, Royal Ancestral Temple is a quiet place for those who like the ancient Chinese royal architecture. And it's been a favorite wedding photo shooting place for many new couples.

Views from Travelers:
It's close to Tiananmen and only costs 2 yuan. Visitors are not so crowed. It's quiet inside. I feel so comfortable sitting here in Summer.
Close to Tiananmen, it's full of Beijing style.
I went there in Winter. It was cold and there were not so many visitors. Compared with other sceneries in Beijing, it's quiet. I love the ancient architecture style. I took lots of photos. I will come here to get more photos when it's sunny.
It's quiet and nostalgic. I always see people come here to shoot their wedding photos.
