4 Days Private Guilin Walking Tour

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1. Arrival, Two Rivers and Four Lakes(Sun and Moon Pagoda, Ancient City Gate), Dongxi Lane, Jingjiang Princes Mansion, Duxiu Peak.   
• 
  Arrive in Guilin. You will be picked up from the exit of airport or train station and transferred to hotel for check in.
  
  After a short rest in Guilin, we will head to Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Spot to start our walking tour. Two Rivers and Four Lakes form the waterway around the center of Guilin City. The Scenic Spot is divided into three scenic areas with different landscapes and features.
  We will visit Sun and Moon Pagoda. These two pagodas imitate the stupas in the Tang Dynasty. The nine-story Sun Pagoda is the world's tallest copper pagoda and tallest pagoda in the water. It is connected with seven-story glazed Moon Pagoda by a 18-meter-long underwater aquarium.
  Then visit Ancient City Gate. It was the south gate of the Guilin City in the Tang Dynasty(618-907). There is a 1,000-year-old Banyan tree in front of the gate and made of wood and brick.
  
  Afterwards, we walk to Dongxi Lane to feel the history and culture of Guilin. With a history of over 1400 years, Dongxi Lane was once a prosperous commercial area. It is now a cultural pedestrian street with architectures of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasty styles.
• Move on to visit Jingjiang Princes Mansion and Duxiu Peak. With a history of 630 years, Jingjiang Princes Mansion was built in Ming Dynasty as a palace for grandson of Ming Emperor Zhu Yangzhang and took 20 years to complete. The Douxiu Peak in the palace is an ideal place to have a panoramic view of Guilin city. There are numerous cliff-side and stone inscriptions carved on the peak.
  Be escorted back to hotel.

• Day 2. Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, West Street, Yangshuo Park.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel between 07:30am - 08:10am and transferred to Zhujiang Port.
  Take Li River Cruise to Yangshuo. The cruise will last about 4.5 hours.
  Li River is known as the biggest and the most beautiful Karst landscape. Alone the river, you will enjoy the clear water with reflection of oddly-shaped peaks, graceful bamboo groves, rice paddies, water buffalo and peaceful village.
• Disembark at the one-thousand-year-old town Yangshuo in the afternoon.
  Then walk around the West Street. With a history of more than 1,400 years, the street is a typical street in southern China. There are many western or eastern bars, restaurants, internet cafes, shops, hotels, snack counters, souvenir booths and art crafts stores on the street.
  Visit Yangshuo Park with natural mountains and rivers before check in the hotel.
  Overnight in Yangshuo.

• Day 3. Jiuxian Village, back to Guilin.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Drive to visit ancient Jiuxian Village with a history of 1400 years. Walking in the village, you man find many old residences with horse-head walls and elegant carved windows, which represents the architecture art of different dynasties.
• Afterwards, be transferred back to the hotel in Guilin.
  The rest time is for free activities.

• Day 4. Reed Flute Cave, Fubo Hill, outside view of Elephant Trunk Hill, Seven Star Park, Departure.  
• 
  Be picked up from hotel at 08:30am.
  Take public transport to visit Reed Flute Cave. The brilliant cave houses various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition from 180 million years ago.
  Proceed to visit Fubo Hill featuring rock stone carvings and Buddha statues from Tang Dynasty. From the summit you may have a bird-view of Li River.
• Then walk cross Li River and take outside view of Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin city. The shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
  Move on to visit the largest park in Guilin, Seven Star Park. The park is the epitome of Guilin's landscape.
  Afterwards, you will be transferred to airport or train station for departure.
