Note for visit a local Buddhist Temple in Beijing

1. Travelers should dress neatly when go to the temple to worship the Buddha, women should not wear skirts, low-cut low-waist pants, not wearing slippers; men should not wear vests, pants, slippers.
2. Food should not be brought into the monastery to keep the Buddha's land clean. It is best to be vegetarian before going to the monastery.
3. All travelers should get off vehicle before entering Temple. Please walk into from side door instead of middle door before entering the temple. And please do not step on the threshold.
4. Please take off your hat and don't bring your hat into the temple.
5. Buddha statues and implements should not be touched.
6. Photograph is not permitted in Buddhist temple.
7. Do not sing or speak loudly in Temple.
8. Please do not ask ask Muni's name. Because when Muni became a monk, he was given a name by his or her sect.
9. Buddhism does not shake hands.
