Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival
Arrive in Xian.
Be met from airport by private vehicle and be transferred to hotel for checking in. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2. Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum, Xian Ancient City Wall.

Drive to visit Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. Terracotta Warriors is the Eighth Wonder of the World, because of its historical significance and uniqueness. It is the a form of funerary art buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China dating back to 210 BC. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Every figure differs from those around in facial features and expression, clothing, hairstyle, and gestures. 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses are scatted in three excavated pits.

Then visit Xian Ancient City Wall. With a history of 600 years, Xian City Wall is the oldest, largest and best preserved city wall of China. It was used to be an important military defensive system to fortify the city. The Ancient City Wall boasts the gates, tunnels and watch towers. The South Gate and North Gate are the two main entrances to the inner city.

Day 3. Statue of Silk Road, Shannxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Drive to visit the Statue of Silk Road. The Group Statues of Silk Road was built in 1987 in memory of 2100th anniversary of establishment of the Silk Road. The statues depicts a team of businessmen on camels traveling on the Silk Road, including three Chineses, three Persians, fourteen camels, two horses and three dogs.

Then visit Shannxi History Museum. Shannxi History Museum is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, featuring an architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. It is the best cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the systematic development process of Chinese civilization. The museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.

Big Wild Goose PagodaMove on to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a landmark of Xian city. It was first built in 652AD for the storage of Buddhist sutras and figurines. The pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. The present 7-storey Pagoda was built with layers of bricks without any cement in between.

Visit North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. North Square is located on the foot of Big Wild Goose Pogoda, covering an area of more than 110,000 square meters. It is the square with biggest musical fountain and light fountain and largest-scale sculptures in Aisa. The main attractions in the square include musical fountain, Tang-cultural plaza, gardens and cultural corridor. When lights are lit up at night, the fountain will
dance by music. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda looks more attractive in the colorful lights.

Day 4. Ruins of Chang'an City of Han Dynasty, Museum and pedestrian street focused on Silk Road and related culture.

Drive to visit Ruins of Chang'an City of Han Dynasty. Located in the northwest of Xi'an City, the Ruins of Chang'an City of Han Dynasty is the capital city site with the largest scale, the most complete preservation and the most abundant relics in China. The city wall was built by stamping earth between board frames, 8 meters high and 16 meters wide. There are 12 gates around the city. The Chang'an City of Han Dynasty consists of 11 districts, connected by 8 main streets. The most three famous palace are Changle Palace, Weiyang Palace, and Jianzhang Palace. Uunearthed relics are very rich, including largest
number of ceramic tile materials, iron wares, bronze wares, stone wares and metallic currencies, etc.

Then go to discover a local Museum and pedestrian street focused on Silk Road and related culture. The museum is the first private on-the-site museum in China themed on the culture of the Silk Road. The exhibits on display reflect a long history ranging from the Shang Dynasty (16th-11th century BC) to the Qing Dynasty (1636-1911). The collects include bronze wares, porcelains, clay figurines, gold and silver vessels, silk products, jade carvings, ancient coins and other items like epitaphs, etc, altogether more than 20, 000 pieces.
The pedestrian street opened in 2016 is themed on the culture of Silk Road. On this 1800-meter-long street, visitors can experience the exotic countries along the Silk Road, like Linden in Nepal, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Five-storied pagoda in Horyu-ji, and tastes the delicious food from different countries.
