Brief Itinerary

Day 1. Be met from Xian Xianyang Airport or train station. Take a short hiking tour on Xian Ancient City Wall, Discover a local garden to get an impression of Shaanxi Local folk culture. Visit the biggest fountain of Asia at the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda if time permits.(Dinner)
Day 2. Be met from hotel lobby at 08:30am. Visit Terracotta Warriors Museum, After lunch, move on to visit a local art zone and Natural Museum.(Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 3. Be met from hotel lobby at 08:30am. Visit Shanxi Art gallery, After lunch, visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum. Move on to enjoy short Shadow Opera.(Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 4. Be met from hotel lobby at 08:30am. Visit Stele Museum to enjoy the highlights of Chinese handwriting. Drive to visit a local art gallery to see the local daily life supplies and hand made crafts.
Visit Tang Paradise in the afternoon at around 16:00 till 19:00. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 5. Be met from hotel and transfer to airport for departure. Service end.(Breakfast)

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival, City Wall, a local garden of Shaanxi Local folk culture, the biggest fountain of Asia at the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
Xian City WallBe met from Xian Xianyang International Airport.
Drive to visit Xian City Wall. With a history of 600 years, Xian City Wall is the oldest, largest and best preserved city wall of China. It was used to be an important military defensive system to fortify the city. The Ancient City Wall boasts the gates, tunnels and watch towers. The South Gate and North Gate are the two main entrances to the inner city.

Then visit a local garden to get an impression of Shaanxi Local folk culture.
This garden displays the Shanxi local folk culture with the sculpture art, including the famous Shanxi eight strange folk customs: noodle is like belt, GuoKui is like pot, pepper is a dish, people wear handkerchiefs on their heads, etc.

Visit the biggest fountain of Asia at the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda if time permits. North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the square with biggest musical fountain and light fountain and
largest-scale sculptures in Aisa. The main attractions in the square include musical fountain, Tang-cultural plaza, gardens and cultural corridor. When lights are lit up at night, the fountain will dance by music. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda looks more attractive in the colorful lights.

Be transferred back to hotel after dinner.

Day 2. Terracotta Warriors Museum, local art zone, Natural Museum.

Drive to visit Terracotta Warriors Museum. Terracotta Warriors is the Eighth Wonder of the World, because of its historical significance and uniqueness. It is the a form of funerary art buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China dating back to 210 BC. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Every figure differs from those around in facial features and expression, clothing, hairstyle, and gestures. 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses are scatted in three excavated pits.

After lunch, move on to visit a local art zone. It is in the original buildings of a factory. The original plants with Soviet architectural style are decorated as a gallery, art center, artist studio, design company, the workshop of pottery, sculpture and photography. The art zone is an integrated art park integrating historical context, contemporary art, cultural industry, architectural space and leisure life.

Then visit Shanxi Natural Museum. Shanxi Natural Museum consists of two separate buildings, Natural Museum and Science Museum. The first dome-screen theater in the Northwest area is in the Science Museum. The whole museum have five themes: life sciences, geology, paleontology, ecology and technology. The life science is the main feature.

Day 3. Shanxi Art gallery, Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum, Shadow Opera.

Drive to visit Shanxi Art gallery. Covering an area of 5,100 square meters, Shanxi Art gallery is located in the East Street of Xi'an City. It is the largest art gallery in Northwest area of China. The Exhibitions of Paintings and Calligraphy are often held here.

Then visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Built between 707 and 709AD during the Tang Dynasty, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda was originally a multi-eave, square-brick 45m high structure with 15 storeys. But a big earthquake in 1556 reduced it to the present 43m high pagoda with 13 levels of tiers. The pagoda has a brick frame built around a hollow interior. There is a staircase inside the pagoda which enables guests to reach the top.

Visit Xian Museum. Over 130,000 cultural objects shown in the exhibition area take the vivid record of Xi'an's splendid history.

Move on to enjoy short Shadow Opera. Shadow Opera is a traditional folk art in China. It is acted by colorful figures made from paper, which are manipulated by rods in the puppeteers. Accompanied by music and singing in Shaanxi dialect, the plays usually tell the legends and stories in the folk.

Day 4. Stele Museum, local art museum, Tang Paradise.

Drive to visit Xian Forest of Stone Steles Museum. The museum is the largest stone stele library in China with 3000 steles. Most of the steles are from the Han Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty and the successive dynasties. Covering an area of 31,000 square meters, the building of museum a classical courtyard styled.

Then visit a local art museum to see the local daily life supplies and hand made crafts. The museums collects more than 20,000 pieces of works, tools, including raw materials and graphic materials provided by 1,000 folk artists and heirs in Xian. The exhibits include traditional paper cutting, embroidery, kites, flour, clay, doll whistles and nuclear carving, and so on. Many old objects that can hardly be found in modern life are also seen in the museum.

Visit Tang Paradise in the afternoon at around 16:00 till 19:00. Tang Paradise is the first and largest cultural theme park. It displays the culture of Tang Dynasty(618-907) from various aspects, including architecture, folk custom, business, politics, entertainment, and arts, etc.. There are 14 scenic spots in the park. The Purple Cloud Tower is the center. Visitors can enjoy various performances showing the Tang culture. The most amazing is the largest water film in the world and the show "Dream Back to the Great Tang Dynasty".
