Brief Itinerary

Day 1. Be met from airport and transfer to hotel in downtown Xian.
Day 2. Xian Ancient City Wall, Shannxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shuyuanmen Street. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 3.Visit Mountain Hua. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 4.Xianyang Museum, Qianling Mausoleum, Local Village. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 5. Stele Museum, Terracotta Warriors Museum, transfer to Huaqing Hotspring and stay overnight. Enjoy Hotspring. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 6. Be met from hotel and transfer to airport for departure. (Breakfast)

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival
Arrive in Xian.
Be met from airport by private vehicle and be transferred to hotel in downtown Xian for checking in. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2. Xian Ancient Wall, Shannxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shuyuanmen Street.

Morning visit of Xian City Wall.
With a history of 600 years, Xian City Wall is the oldest, largest and best preserved city wall of China. It was used to be an important military defensive system to fortify the city. The Ancient City Wall boasts the gates, tunnels and watch towers. The South Gate and North Gate are the two main entrances to the inner city.

Then drive to visit Shannxi History Museum. Shannxi History Museum is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, featuring an architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. It is the best cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the systematic development process of Chinese civilization. The museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.

Move on to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Originally built in 652 of Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is functioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. The pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. The present 7-storey Pagoda was built with layers of bricks without any cement in between. Now it is Landmark of the Xian.

Visit Shuyuanmen Street. Shuyuanmen Street is a pedestrian street from Stele Forest Museum to the gate of Guanzhong Academy. On both side are all antique building. There is a high archway(pailou) with ancient style at the entrance of the street.

Transfer back to hotel after the tour.

Day 3. Mountain Hua.

Drive to visit Mountain Hua. Mountain Hua is one of the five best-known mountains in China. It is famous for its breath-taking cliffs. Along the 12-kilometer-long winding path up to the top are awe-inspiring precipices, looking into which will take your breath away. Mountain Hua boasts a lot of places of interest. Here and there stand Buddhist and Taoist temples, pavilions and buildings as well as sculptures and engravings. Along the cliff of South Peak is a planked path equipped with an iron chain, with the help of which, adventurers can walk on the frightful path.

Transfer back to hotel after the tour.

Day 4. Xianyang Museum, Qianling Mausoleum, Local Village.

Drive to visit Xianyang Museum. Xianyang Museum focuses its exhibition on the historical relics of the Qin and the Han dynasties. 28 kilometers west of Xi'an, Xianyang City was the capital of the Qin Dynasty and also the central location of the Han Dynasty's Mausoleum. The highlights of the museum are the 3000 painted terracotta warriors and horses of the Western Han Dynasty.

The visit Qianling Mausoleum. Located on the peak of Liangshan, Qingling Mausoleum is the tomb complex of Emperor Gaozong and his empress Wuzetian, the first and only governing empress. It is one of the best preserved tombs among the Tang Dynasty's 18 mausoleums. Stone sculptures scatter around everywhere in the mausoleum sites.

Visit a local village. It is a village preserving original Guanzhong folk customs. Their is an antique street with grey bricks and tiles lined with kinds of traditional workshops. It is a good place to taste characteristics snacks and experience guanzhong folk culture.

Transfer back to hotel after the tour.

Day 5. Stele Museum, Terracotta Warriors Museum, Huaqing Hotspring.

Drive to visit Stele Forest Museum. Xian Forest of Stone Steles Museum is the largest stone stele library in China with 3000 steles. Most of the steles are from the Han Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty and the successive dynasties. Covering an area of 31,000 square meters, the building of museum a classical courtyard styled.

Then visit Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. Terracotta Warriors is the Eighth Wonder of the World, because of its historical significance and uniqueness. It is the a form of funerary art buried with Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first unifier of China dating back to 210 BC. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Every figure differs from those around in facial features and expression, clothing, hairstyle, and gestures. 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses are scatted in three excavated pits.

Transfer to Huaqing Hotspring and stay overnight. Enjoy Hotspring.
