Detailed Itinerary of Private Tour to Juyongguan Great Wall and Ming Tombs
Be picked up from your hotel by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle at 08:30 am.
Drive one and half hours to Ming Tombs. Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Visit Changling for one hour.
Then we will drive to Juyongguan Great Wall. On the way there, we will we will visit a large scale jade ware processing factory beside the restaurant. In the factory, you will find that there is workshop for demonstration of Jade carving; Five interpreting rooms for us to know the processes of Chinese jade carving and Chinese jade culture. You may also take photo in the huge Jade exhibition hall and buy some jade carving souvenir as you like.
Have Chinese lunch in a nice restaurant. Drive 20 minutes to Juyongguan Great Wall. Juyongguan Pass is located in an 18 kilometer-long valley named 'Guangou' which is inside Changping County more than 50 kilometers from Beijing City. It is one of the three greatest passes of Great Wall of China. The other two passes are Jiayuguan Pass and Shanhai Pass. In the middle of Juyongguan Pass, there is a 'Cloud Platform' with another name of 'Crossing Street Tower'. It was made of white marble in the Yuan Dynasty with a height of 9.5 meters. Around the top of the platform there are many architectures such as stone railings and a watching post. As there are lush flowers and trees around the Pass like layers of green waves, so it got the good name of 'Juyong Green Layers', which belongs to one of 'Yanjing Eight Best Sceneries'. Take sightseeing on the wall for about 2 hours.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour at around 18:00. (Lunch)

6. We will visit Ming Tombs on the morning and Great Wall in the afternoon. This will insure that you can have lunch on time and have enough time on Great Wall. The Great Wall is very beautiful when the sun is on the west.
