Itinerary

Forbidden City photoPick up at your hotel between 7:00am and 7:30am.This tour starts at northern part of Tian'anmen Square. The Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong. The square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China.

From there you will proceed to the Forbidden City. It is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics. Forbidden City was the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years. As one of the World Cultural Relics, Forbidden City consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 2 hours.

On the way to Temple of Heaven, you will have a chance to visit the Chinese traditional medicine culture.

After having a short rest, we'll visit the Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420 during Ming Dynasty, Temple of Heaven is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. The emperor came to the temple every winter to pray for ample harvests and good weather. Strictly built on the basis of philosophical requirements, the temple in many ways features the relationship between Heaven and Earth. The visit to Temple of Heaven takes about 1 hour.

Summer palaceAfter Chinese lunch (40 minutes) in Restaurant, enjoy a short visit to a pearl free market not missed.

Driving (30minutes) to Summer Palace. Summer Palace was first built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 2.9 square kilometers, including 70,000 square meters of building space. Summer Palace perfectly combines the natural landscape of hills and open water with humankind works such as pavilions, halls, palaces and bridges. In 1998, UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List. The visit takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Then drive to theater to enjoy Chinese Kongfu Show. Beijing Red Theatre (a former worker's club) is located at No. 44, Xing fu Da Jie, Chongwen District Beijing. Upon arrival at Red Theatre, you will be taken to your seat with the assistance of both your tour guide and theatre staff that has your pre-reserved entrance tickets.
Kongfu is a Chinese term, which is regarded by foreigners as Chinese martial arts. Chinese martial arts, performing skills and Shaolin elements are used in this evening show. The show is a must-see production in Beijing for tourists and Kongfu lovers.

The show ends and you will be transferred back to your hotel around 9:20pm.
