Take overnight train to Datong at around 23:26.
Arrive in Datong at 06:21 am on the morning. Local tour guide will meet you at the entrance of your train carriage. Be transferred to Hotel.
Visit the Yungang Grottoes. Yungang grottoes are considered first among three grottoes of China for their tremendous size, ancient history, and relatively complete state of preservation.
Move on to visit Huayan Monastery. Built during the Liao Dynasty (907 - 1125), Huayan Monastery is the largest and best preserved monastery of the Liao Dynasty in existence in China.
Then visit the Shanhua Monastery. Located in central Datong within the old city walls, Shanhua Monastery was first constructed during the Tang dynasty (618-907AD). Most of the present wooden building dates back to the 12th century. The temple houses some intricately carved Jin dynasty (265-420AD) statues and has a screen wall decorated with dragons.
Proceed to visit the Nine Dragon Screen. Built over 600 years ago, Nine Dragon Screen is presently the oldest and largest glazed screen in China today. This screen is three times larger than that in Beihai Park, Beijing.
Be transferred back to after the tour.

Full day tour to Sakyamuni Wooden Pagoda at Fuoguang Temple in Yingxian County (Yingxian Wooden Pagoda). Sakyamuni Wooden Pagoda is the oldest and highest wooden structure in China with about 900 years of history and is regarded as the "First Pagoda in the World" and a gem in the architectural field.

Take overnight soft sleeper train back to Beijing at 22:59.
Arrive in Beijing Railway Station at 05:10 am. Our tour guide will meet you at the entrance of your train carriage.
