Tour Itinerary Shengyang One Day Tour of North Tomb and Imperial Palace
English speaking tour guide and driver of Beijingservice will meet you
in your hotel lobby.
Then we will drive to the North Tomb in the spacious grounds of Beiling
Park. Built in 1643 by Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, the shrine is
walled in by a stone wall. Within the walls are several Qing Dynasty
style buildings, and the tomb itself is a large earthen mound with a
single elm tree growing from the top. Visit the Beiling Park and the North Tomb for 2 hours.
Have lunch in a local restaurant.
Then we will drive to
the Forbidden City (Imperial Palace). The Shenyang Imperial Palace is
the only existing royal palace in China outside of the Forbidden City
Beijing. The main structure of the palace was built in 1625 when Nurhachi
was in power. Covering an area of more than 60,000 square meters (about
71,760 square yards), the palace consists of more than 300 rooms, formed
around 20 courtyards. The Shenyang Imperial Palace houses many ancient
cultural relics, such as Nurhachi's sword and Abahai's broadsword.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the tour.
