Detail Itinerary
Day 1. Shanghai
Be picked up by private car and English speaking tour guide from your hotel and transferred to the Shanghai Station. The tour guide will see you off at the platform.
There are two kinds of cabin on the train: 4-bed-cabin & 2-bed-cabin
Please note that 2-bed-cabin is available on T-class train only.

Day 2. Beijing (Ming Tombs, Badaling Great Wall)
Arrive in Beijing on the early morning.
Your Beijing tour guide will hold a sign read your name to meet you at the entrance of your train carriage.
Drive 1.5 hours to Ming Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Visit Changling for one hour.
Drive to Badaling Great Wall. On the way there, we will visit a large scale jadeware processing factory. There are workshop for demonstration of Jade carving, five interpreting rooms for us to know the processes of Chinese jade carving and Chinese jade culture. You may also take photo in the huge Jade exhibition hall and buy some jade carving souvenir as you like.
Proceed to restaurant to have Chinese lunch and have a short rest.
After lunch, we will visit Drive 30 minutes to the famous Badaling Great Wall. Badaling is the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained, easy for travelers to walk along the defensive project of ancient China. Take sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall for about 2 hours. Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour at around 18:00. (Lunch)

Day 3. Beijing (Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace)
English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:30 am. Drive 30 minutes to the Forbidden City -also called Palace Museum. It is located at the center of Beijing. Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex. Visit Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Drive 20 minutes to visit Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Take sightseeing in the temple for one hour.
After lunch in a nice restaurant near Temple of Heaven, drive 40 minutes to Summer Palace - 20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc. Take sightseeing in this beautiful garden for one hour and twenty minutes.
Visit a Chinese fresh water pearl shop near Summer Palace to do some shopping. It a nice place to buy a necklace or bracelet as a gift from China.
We will transfer you to Beijing Railway Station to connect the train to Shanghai. (Lunch)


Day 4. Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai.
Be met and transferred to your accommodation in Shanghai.

1. To take 2 days Beijing private tour from Shanghai, soft berth train is a good choice. The Z class and T class train is direct vehicle between Beijing and Xian, that is mean there is no stop between these two cities. This will save your precious time.
2. There are two kinds of cabin on the train: 4-bed-cabin & 2-bed-cabin. Pleaselet us know which kinds of cabin you will use upon reservation. We recommend the 2-bed-cabin if you travel in 2 persons group; otherwise, you will have to share the cabin with other travelers.
