Laoshan Mountain Bike Course

The Laoshan Mountain Bike Course is situated by the Laoshan Velodrome in the Shijingshan District in the western part of Beijing . The length of the competition course will be 6.2 kilometers in circumference. The fixed building will cover a floor space of 8,275 square meters . The temporary spectator stand will have a capacity of 2,000 spectators .
The Laoshan Mountain Bike Course is being renovated for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games . The renovation and expansion program of the course began in May 2006 . The project involves a competition course, a fixed building, a temporary stand and other temporary facilities for the competitions. After the completion of the Olympic Games , the Laoshan Mountain Bike Course will be used as the training centre for the Chinese cycling team . The course will also be opened for public.
