Drive to visit Museum of Natural History Beijing. Built in 1951, Beijing Museum of Natural History covers an area of 24,000 square meters, including 8,000 square meters for display. The museum bears three main functions: the specimen collection, the academic research and the science popularization of paleontology, zoology, botany and anthropology.
Then visit China Geologic Museum.Built in 1916, China Geologic Museum is the oldest geologic museum in China. It houses more than 200,000 valued collections, including Shantungosaurus giganteus fossils, rare fossilized primitive birds, the world's largest quartz crystal, the largest mono-crystal, and so on.
Visit Paleozoological Museum of China. Paleozoological Museum of China is the largest specialized museum in Asia for the topic of the evolution of vertebrate animals. The valued exbitions include Latimeria(a "living fossil" lobe-finned fish from Africa), Mamenchisaurus(the largest dinosaur in Aisa), Lufengosaurus huenei (the first dinosaur occurred in China), skeleton of ancient Yellow River elephant, and the skull models of the mysterious "Peking Man".
Move on to visit Beijing Planetarium. Beijing Planetarium is a National first-level natural science museum. It exhibits the astronomical achievements in ancient China and explores the mysteries of the universe.
Covering an area of The musuem consists of 7,000 square meters, the museum contains Celestial Theater, Digital space theater, 3D theater, 4D theater, Exhibition Halls, and two observatories.
