  • Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace.  
  • Day 3. Mutianyu Great Wall, outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube, Beijing Hutong, Houhai Area.  
  • Day 4. Exit Beijing.  

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1. Enter Beijing.  

  • Reach Beijing airport or railway station. Your private guide will wait at the exit and escort you to hotel for check in.

  • Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace.  

  • Pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
    Start your tour with Tiananmen Square. The square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is the largest city plaza in the world.
    Then visit Forbidden City. This imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911) is the essence of ancient Chinese palace architecture. It is the world's largest and best-preserved palace complex.
  • After Muslim lunch, head to Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420 during Ming Dynasty, Temple of Heaven is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. The main buildings are Circular Mound Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest.
    Move on to Summer Palace, once the summer resort for the emperors of Qing Dynasty(1644-1912). This largest imperial garden of China is a blend of natural scenery and artificial landscape.
    Send you back to the hotel at 6:00pm.

  • Day 3. Mutianyu Great Wall, outside view of Bird Nest and Water Cube, Beijing Hutong, Houhai Area.  

  • Pick you up from hotel at 08:30am.
    Drive to about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall first. Mutianyu is one of the most famous and best preserved sections of China Great Wall. It is less crowded, but has dense and unique watchtowers than Badaling section.
  • On the way back to Beijing city, stop at the Olympic Park and view Bird Nest and Water Cube from outside. These two main stadiums of the 2008 Olympic Games have become the landmarks of new Beijing.
    Proceed to Beijing Hutong in Shichahai area. Beijing Hutongs are narrow lanes or alleys surrounded by traditional courtyard residences. You will take a man-power rickshaw to experience the culture and daily life of the past Beijing.
    Then walk around in Houhai Area. This area includes a large artificial lake and various kinds of restaurants, cafes and bars. Houhai Bar Street is very popular among young people.
    Send you back to the hotel at 6:00pm.

    • It is recommended to wear a comfortable walking shoes when you hike the Mutianyu Great Wall.
