Be picked by private vehicle and English speaking tour guide from airport.
After lunch, drive to visit Badaling Great Wall.
Badaling was built in 1505 during the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall is the best preserved and most visited one. It is 7600 meters long and 1000 meters above sea level, commanding a strategic position in ancient times.
Drive back to Beijing city. On the way to your hotels, we will drive by the Bird's Nest and Water Cube for you to enjoy a short outside visit. You could take pictures in the bus.
Stop at a silk market. Here, you may join in drawing out silk from a silkworm or squaring up a quilt.
China is the first place to develop silk, with some of the earliest examples found as early as 3500 BC.
In the ancient era, silk from China was the most lucrative and sought-after luxury item traded across the Eurasian continent. Hence comes the famous Silk Road.
In this silk market, you can find the ancient and modern weave machine, sample of silkworm, satin, cashmere, Chinese traditional clothes and silk clothing.
Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour.
