Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Beijing
Upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport, be greeted by our tour guide.
Transfer you to your hotel afterwards.
Our tour guide will help you check into your hotel.
The rest of the day is your own.

Day 2: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street, Temple of Heaven, Peking Roast Duck, Peking Opera
Pick you up from the hotel, and transfer to Tiananmen Square.
Stroll around the square for a short time to observe the surrounding buildings.
Then we will visit the Forbidden City along the central axis for 1.5-2 hours..
Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex.

Afterwards, continue our journey to Wangfujing Street.
There are a lot of shopping malls for you to explore.
Proceed to visit Temple of Heaven.Spend time to learn the history, architecture, court anecdotes and etc.

You may also try to imagine how emperors in ancient times offered sacrifices to the heaven and prayed for good harvest.
At night we will attend a wonderful show, Peking Opera, followed by the delicious and crispy Peking Roast Duck Dinner.
After the show, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace
Pick you up from the hotel, and drive to Mutianyu Great Wall.
Mutianyu Great Wall boasts beautiful sceneries as it is surrounded with orchards and pines in the mountains. And the Mutianyu section is less crowded than the Badaling Great Wall. Also, it has better architecture with 22 watchtowers.
After hiking this great wall, transfer to visit Summer Palace.

As the imperial garden in Ming and Qing dynasties, the Summer Palace boast wonderful sceneries with the longest corridor in the world, the tranquil Kunming Lake and various pavilions and houses.Spend time exploring this serene respite.Transfer to the hotel after one day's trip.

Day 4: Shichahai, Hutongs, Local family, Lama Temple, Temple of Earth
Pick you up from the hotel, and drive to visit the Shichahai Area.
We will visit the Hutongs by rickshaw. Cycle around all kinds of alleyways, we will be able to experience the local life by visiting various courtyards houses, Shichahai, Tea House and etc. Also, you will be able to experience the atmosphere of the Spring Festival by looking around. The city looks like being put on a red coat.
Afterwards, stop by a local family where we will help to make dumplings. Local people eat dumplings as lunch for Lunar New Year. Enjoy dumplings.
Then transfer to visit the Silver Ingot Bridge (Yinding Bridge), located at the intersection of Qianhai Lake and the Houhai Lake.

Afterwards, visit the Lama Temple, a renowned lama temple of the Yellow Hat Sect of Lamaism. It is the only downtown Buddhism temple in Beijing. Lama Temple is also a former imperial palace in Qing dynasty.
Proceed to visit the Temple of Earth. Built in 1530 during the Ming dynasty, the temple was the place where Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties attended the annual summer solstice ritual.
After the whole-day tour, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 5: Temple Fair at Grand View Garden
Pick you up from your hotel by our English-speaking tour guide.
Today is a journey of cultural experience. We will enjoy time at one of the Beijing's Temple Fairs. Temple Fairs generally begins on the first day of the Chinese lunar January and lasts for about one week.

We will explore the Temple Fair at Grand View Garden to enjoy various folk performances and fashion show. Walking around from stalks to stalks to find something interesting. Also, there will be some delicious local snacks at the temple fair. You should have a try.
Beside the Grand View Garden Temple Fair, there are many other Temple Fairs, such as the White Cloud Temple Fair, Temple of Heaven Temple Fair and etc.
If you are interested in any specific temple fair, please feel free to let us know.
At the end of the tour, transfer you back to your hotel. No lunch arranged today, you may try the food of the Temple Fair.

Day 6: Departure
Pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for departure.
